Our goal: A strong team
Our employees form the basis of our long-term success. We want to be an attractive employer in all respects. High-quality training at Xella and investments in our employees' qualifications contribute to this, as do fair, performance-based remuneration, a non-discriminatory working environment, and flexible options for balancing work and family life.
Diversity and equal opportunities
With locations in more than 25 countries, we live internationality and diversity. The professional and social backgrounds of our employees are also diverse, which we promote with a working environment characterized by openness and appreciation and support through our corporate values and our anti-discrimination standards. Our understanding of diversity also includes equal opportunities. At present, the proportion of women is already 20%, and 18% among managers. We are convinced that a higher proportion of women in management positions will have a positive impact on our success and innovative strength.
Training and further education
In order to be an attractive employer and to be able to set up a high-performance team, the training and further education of our employees is an important component. That's why we offer a variety of training and development programs to help our employees make the most of their potential. Despite Corona, the average number of training hours per employee last year was 10.4 hours. Our responsibility also includes training young people and giving them a positive start in the working world. We are currently training 78 young colleagues.
Flexible work
We want the job to flexibly adapt to the employee's life situation and not vice versa. We therefore offer various working time models. The number of part-time employees is currently around 4%.
Making success measurable
We want to make our ambitions measurable. That's why we have set ourselves long-term goals:
- 10% more training hours by the end of 2025
- 25 % share of female managers by the end of 2025
Responsibility for our employees also includes occupational safety, which is a top priority for us. Find out more about the many measures and initiatives relating to our core topic here soon.
