Eden Rožnov shows the variability of Ytong and Silka

In the middle of the project, Xella was selected to provide a complete building solution made of Ytong and Silka. And so further apartments of the residential complex in the northern part of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Czech Republic, could be completed quickly.

31 August, 2021

Located in the East of the Czech Republic, near the Slovakian border, the new housing project “Eden Roznov” offers nearness to the nature of the Beskid Mountains, as well as access to a comfortable urban infrastructure. Surrounded by greenery and coming with wonderful views of the landscape, the barrier-free apartments are a perfect fit for modern families. Each apartment also has a balcony, while ground floor and penthouse apartments have a terrace option.

Smooth process and rapid construction
In 2019, as the second phase of the overall project, the construction of the 76 residential units divided into ten residential complexes, began. A year earlier, five buildings with 21 apartments had already been erected in the first stage. Not thoroughly satisfied with the more technologically complex building solution, the project managers decided to alter their approach and switch to a simpler solution, that first and foremost guarantees a smooth construction process. Ytong and Silka products were chosen and indeed led to rapid construction, with 36 apartments in six residential buildings then completed during 2020. At the end of 2020, the developer and general contractor started construction of three more residential buildings. Construction of the tenth and final residential building began in the first quarter of 2021.

Complete construction solution from one source
Eden Rožnov project manager Jakub Schwarz praises the choice of Ytong and Silka building systems: "Based on previous experience and according to customer needs, we have adapted some technical solutions for stage II of construction so that its implementation proceeds as smoothly as possible. Changing everything from perimeter masonry, partitions, and stairs to the roofs. For optimal sound insulation for the walls between the apartments we used Silka. Ytong was the only manufacturer to supply us with a complete construction solution within various building strengths. We especially appreciated the speed of construction and work with installations. Ytong has also enabled great variability in client changes, where we offer our customers a wide range of layouts, partitions, and openings.”
