Xella takes second place at the Dutch Computable Awards

"Digital Transformation of the Year" for BIM and Hololens

18 November, 2019

During a spectacular awards ceremony at the Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht end of October, the winners and medalists of the Computable Awards 2019 were announced for the fourteenth time. The awards are presented to companies, projects and individuals who have clearly distinguished themselves in the past year according to Computable readers. This year's Computable Awards 2019 were dedicated to digitization, which represented the fifth basic element in the fields of earth, air, fire and water.

The top ten in each category were invited to present their project to a professional jury. From these, the jury nominated the five best entries. The winners of the five categories were then announced on 29 October 2019, including The Hague Economic Council, ABN Amro and the University of Amsterdam. Finally, there were three other project categories in which a group of Computable experts, the jury and the audience nominated the winners.

Xella in cooperation with Microsoft took second place in the category "Digital Transformation of the Year" for the transfer and presentation of planning data from the BIM model to the Hololens. With the help of this technology, construction projects can be implemented faster, more efficiently and more cost-effectively. See for yourself:
