Ytong wins Superbrands Award
The expert panel of the “Business Superbrands” brand evaluation programme in Slovakia has honored Ytong with an award in 2021.
The foundation of a strong company lies in knowing your brand – its strengths, its position on the market and its long-term vision. The “Superbrands” brand evaluation programme precisely evaluates such companies in 87 countries based on performance indicators, a consumer survey, and a panel of judges made up of experts in business, marketing and branding.
Companies are not nominated for selection by Superbrands, nor can they register in the programme. Brands are evaluated according to prestige, innovation and brand awareness on the Slovak market instead. To become a member of the Superbrands club, the brand must be high-quality and have exceptional renown.
For Peter Markovič, managing director of Xella Slovensko, spol. s r.o., the honor is a result of continuous good work:
“The award is confirmation that the path that Ytong has taken over recent years is the right one. Last year was very difficult for everyone because of Covid, but despite this we managed to successfully react to the situation and to prepare new projects. In autumn, the “Xella Dialogue” conference format was held online for the first time, and the Ytong YQ Construction 2020 competition, also met with great interest. We continue to support university students through architectural competitions and, in a similar way, we also participate in the education of secondary school students and apprentices seeking employment in the field of masonry. At the same time, we are an active member of the Association of Manufacturers of Masonry Materials, and since November last year, our Company has been involved in the work of the Building Information Modelling Association Slovakia (BIMas) as a full member of the organisation.”
