Silka and URSA first choice at B-House in Brussels
The major "B-House" project on the site of a former printing plant in Brussels is nearing completion.
A total of 200 apartments and 20 multifunctional areas will be built on a total area of 31,200 square meters. The location of the project is the Brussels Media Mile, which is characterized by a high demand for living space. The project comprises six buildings with five and six floors, respectively, as well as a twelve-story building. Silka wall elements and URSA thermal insulation will be used in all buildings.
The construction is part of a temporary partnership between the construction companies Louis De Waele and Socatra. Project manager Philippe Gaudisaubois is very pleased with the progress of the project, which has so far gone smoothly and according to plan. A brand from Xella was also chosen for the thermal insulation of the buildings. The facades with Eternit cladding will be insulated with 16 cm URSA Walltec 32B. It is an ecological insulating material that perfectly matches the equally environmentally friendly sand-lime bricks. And this in turn fits perfectly with the green image of the overall project. The finished buildings are to be handed over in March 2019.
