Excellent - How the upcycling of lime bricks works

This year's Innovation Award was presented at the Xella Management Conference.

03 January, 2019

The winner in the category "Product Innovation" is our new development Ytong Silent+, a project of Xella Germany in cooperation with Xella Research and Development in context of Circular Economy. In this new lime brick, around 20 percent of the raw materials required are replaced by reprocessed aerated concrete residues from scrap or demolition material. And this with a compressive strength class of 10.
