Blowing wool at Ursa
In 2007 Ursa started the production of blow-in wool and took the first step into the market of blow-in insulation.
Ursa firmly believes that this market has growth potential. Especially in France, currently the most important market for blow-in wool. There, the product is mainly used for the "comblé perdu" ("lost attic"). Due to the low roof pitch, attics can hardly be processed with conventional insulating materials. In this case, blow-in wool offers a well-functioning, simple and inexpensive type of insulation. Currently, blow-in insulation accounts for 20 percent of the total French insulation market. In Germany and Belgium, the insulation of hollow walls is the main application of the product.
