Xella shows the way – apprenticeship start 2020

Nine new apprentices start their vocational training at Xella

21 July, 2020

In August and September, the time has come again: the new training year starts in Germany. Particularly in times of crisis, skilled workers are even more important for the future as a foundation stone for industry. Xella is also pleased to welcome nine new apprentices who will be trained in six different professions. These include two apprentices as cooks, three as hotel managers in the field of building management, and one apprentice each as a mechatronics technician, machine and plant operator, electronics technician for operating technology and process mechanic. For Xella, the internal training of chefs and hotel specialists is a first, so we are even more pleased to have been able to recruit no fewer than five trainees for these exciting apprenticeships.

While the hotel management and chef trainees start their apprenticeship at the head office in Duisburg and are responsible for supplying the employees in the staff restaurant and for the general organizational process, the four craft-technical training occupations take place at our production sites in Brück, Rotenburg, Freistett and Wankum. A successful company like Xella offers trainees a wide range of development opportunities and the chance to make the best possible use of their own talents. Xella is currently training a total of 67 apprentices at over 16 different locations in Germany. We wish the new trainees every success and look forward to working with them.
