Sustainable building with BIM - Tivoli GreenCity in Brussels
Almost 400 apartments, a large park, numerous shops and a business pool around "green" companies: Brussels is creating a new, unprecedented and sustainable neighbourhood.
Tivoli is currently the most ambitious construction project in Belgium and is being implemented using state-of-the-art technology. Tivoli, or "the new Brussels", will be built entirely in BIM. With its Silka elements and Ytong blocks, Xella is one of the BIM actors.
The project has ambitious environmental objectives: reduction of energy consumption, biodiversity, production of green energy, rational water management, awareness-raising and civic participation. These objectives are set out in the Tivoli GreenCity Sustainable District Charter. Future residents are asked to sign this charter. Some objectives go far, but they guarantee a better environment and offer users energy savings.
Tivoli GreenCity strives to create a harmonious link between the existing dense residential area of Laeken and the industrial area of the Port of Brussels. A new mixed neighbourhood will be developed on this site, where life and work will be harmonized. Would you like to know more about the project? You can get a first impression here.
